Welcome to baby Renee's webpage

Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

Hi Friends and Family,

Thank you for coming to visit my webpage. My mommy and daddy will be maintaining this page with news and pictures.

If you want to send me email, you can send it to renee@trunnelle.com. Until I learn to type and to use email, my parents will be reading through my mail, so don't say anything you wouldn't want them to read! :D

About Me:

I was born on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 9:25 am. I weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long. My mommy was so strong during my birth and we both were cuddling by the end of the day.

I was named after my maternal great-grandmothers. The name Renee is pronounced ren-NAY. It is of French origin, and its meaning is "reborn". How fitting!

So, I'm going to daycare now and I just don't have time to update this page myself anymore. My mommy said that it's time to have a proper blog anyway, so she started one up and is going to keep it updated with news of all of my fun and adventures! She named it "Crazy Reneezy" because that's my nickname :D

You can get to my new blog by clicking HERE or the blog link at the top of this page. When you get there you can sign up to become a "Follower", that way you'll always know when a new blog is posted!

Hey, did you see my age counter at the top of the page, now you can always see exactly how old I am, pretty cool huh? My friend Eddie's mom put one up for him on her blog, and I liked it so much that I had Mommy put one up for me :D My mommy also wants to put up something that at says how tall I am and how much I weigh, hopefully she can figure that out soon because I'm growing fast!!! She hasn't put any new pictures up in the gallery for a couple of weeks, apparently she's busy working on her Ph.D. or something, but she will soon, so don't forget to check back!

Well, I hope you enjoy my new blog!

Time sure does fly by, doesn't it? I turned 3 months old two weeks ago!!! And I'm growing super fast. Every time my parents pick me up now they say something like "Oooof, you're so heavy baby girl!" And they're always calling me a chubby monkey, and making comments about my giant head. But, in the world of babies, those are all complements, so I don't mind :D

I've been pretty busy lately. I recently figured out that I have some control over what my hands are doing, and so whenever I can wrangle them up I stick them in my mouth and suck on them. Sometimes though my fingers go crazy in there and they make me gag! It's annoying, but practice makes perfect right! Also, I talk a lot now. I can say Goo, Aaaaoooow, Wooooaaah, and lots of other similar words!! Sometimes I say them so loud that I surprise myself! And last week I learned how to laugh. Mommy was making a goofy face and it was so funny, I just burst out with a giggle :D

Another big change in my life recently is our new bedtime routine. At around 7:30 every night Mommy gives me a nice warm bath, then she puts me in a clean diaper and pjs, gives me a big warm bottle of her milk, wraps me up in my blanket (I still like to be swaddled) and we rock in the rocking chair until my eyes are super heavy. Then she puts me in my crib and I sleep all by myself! Lately I wake around 1:30am, but sometimes I sleep until 3:30am!!! That's almost 7 hours straight, she likes it when I do that :D

Mommy and I only have one more week at home together and then I am going to go to daycare while she goes back to school. She's been trying to get me ready for it by giving me more bottles of her milk instead of nursing me all the time, but I like breast feeding so much better. And they won't swaddle me at daycare, some safety thing or something, so she said next week I have to work on going to sleep without being swaddled. What's next, are they going to expect me to get a job or something?

Well, I'll let you know how daycare is after my first few days there. Until then, have a great one! Oh, and don't forget to check out the pictures on my gallery page!

Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've let you know how I'm doing.

I'll be 11 weeks old in two days and what a crazy ride this life has been so far! The first 8 weeks of my life my stomach hurt almost all the time. I tried to tell my mommy and daddy about it, but they didn't understand. Finally, the doctor told my mommy to go on a dairy free diet. It's been 3 weeks so far and that has really helped me out, I feel so much better. I don't even need formula anymore, just my mommy's milk. It's hard for mommy though because cheese, milk and butter are some of her favorite foods. But she said I'm more important and she's happy to do whatever will make me happy :D

Did you guys know what getting your shots means? Let me tell you! I was perfectly happy laying on the table in the doctor's office, looking at my mommy and smiling at her! Then, all of a sudden, some strange lady started sticking needles in my legs!!! It hurt really bad! If someone ever tells you that you are going to get a shot, I highly suggest getting out of there fast!!

My daddy started working in a new department at work, so he's super busy all the time. But, when he gets home from work he takes me outside while he checks his garden and throws the ball for the dogs. I really like hanging out with my daddy and I really like being outside. I don't really like the dogs though. They're always sniffing my face and licking my head, it's really annoying!!

This past week has been tough though! My mommy says I have to learn to go to sleep on my own, without being nursed or rocked. But I like to go to sleep in her or Daddy's arms. And if they're not available, then my swing is good. But, she says that I have to sleep in my crib. It doesn't even rock, how am I supposed to go to sleep in that!! Anyway, I'm still not convinced and every time she tries to put me in it I wake myself up right away! She's just crazy, I think.

Well, I guess that's enough of an update for now! I'll try to be better about keeping this page updated! There are a lot of new pictures in my gallery though, you should check them out if you haven't already!

March 14, 2010:

Well, I'm gonna be three weeks old tomorrow. Things are going pretty good although my parents,... OMG,... they just don't seem to get it sometimes. I cry for food and they check my diaper! I cry when my diaper's wet and they hold me and sing. I mean, jeez, I can't be any more clear with my grimaces and cries. What's a girl to do!?

But aside from dealing with my parents, I'm doing pretty good. I'm starting to gain a bit of weight now that mommy and daddy are supplementing me with formula. It's not as good as breast milk but when I'm hungry, I'm less critical of what I eat.

Oh, and before I forget, I wanted to thank all of my nice friends and family. I've had so many nice visitors, welcoming emails, and thoughtful gifts and cards. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.

TTFN,
Love,
Renee
